Hi, I'm Anu Pitman — a fully qualified accountant with over a decade of experience across both practice and industry.

I set up Anu Pitman Accountancy because I wanted to do things differently. After years of working in accountancy firms and in-house finance roles, I saw the same pattern repeat itself: business owners getting their accounts once a year, long after the decisions that shaped those numbers had already been made.

By the time most people hear from their accountant, it's too late to change anything.

I work differently. My clients get monthly management accounts, proactive tax planning, and a real conversation about their numbers throughout the year — not just when the deadline is looming.

Based in the Scottish Borders, I work with growing businesses across the region and remotely throughout Scotland. I'm particularly well suited to limited companies with 5+ staff who want a finance partner, not just someone to file the return.

QUALIFICATIONS & MEMBERSHIPS:

I’m ACCA qualified and hold a First Class degree in Business Management and Accounting from the Open University. Over the years, I’ve worked with a wide range of clients, including limited companies, contractors, and individuals, helping them stay compliant while using their numbers to make better decisions.
